Exploring God's Call
Throughout the year we host several events and programs to assist women in discerning God's call in their lives. We warmly welcome your interest and participation in these events and opportunities.
Retreat Weekend
The path to becoming a Sister of Divine Providence varies with each individual who makes the journey. God continues to call us in many different ways and at many times in life. Come and join with other women and the Sisters of Divine Providence for a weekend of sharing, listening and journeying together. You are invited to a vocation information weekend for single women, 18 years and older, who are considering religious life.
Visioning Retreat Weekend
Are you on ‘hold,’ ‘pause,’ or are you waiting for a sign or invitation? This weekend may help you. Sometimes discernment needs a ‘vision,’ a practical application of our life circumstances into a possible future. When we imagine, we are open to possibilities. We can plan how our particular lives could unfold in a particular direction and discern with more clarity. Having a clearer ‘vision’ opens possibilities. You and God can then decide what the probabilities are.
Join us and envision what your future could look like in religious life. If you can imagine it, you may be able to choose it, adapt to it or clarify another choice. Vision is a gift from God.
Convent Visits
Prayerfully look at God's call to live holiness, community, and service. For women exploring vowed life and young adult associates who wish to support them.

April 24 - 26, 2009
Life Awareness Weekend
Join a group of men and women, 18-50 years old, for presentations, group discussions, private consultations, and prayer to find out what it’s like to be a Catholic priest, sister or brother, to see whether you might have a vocation to the religious life or priesthol and to learn how to respond to that calling. The program will explore the rewards and the obligations that go with ordained ministry and consecrated life. It does not pressure anyone nor ask for any commitment. It is designed to help you make a more intelligent choice of your vocation, whatever it might be. Download the Life Awareness (pdf) brochure.
You can register online or you can
print the form and send by mail.
