The smile of triumph. After two brain surgeries, Janice spent three years regaining her skills while working towards her high school diploma. She is now looking forward to getting a college degree and providing a better future for her son.

Admission

Sophia WLC has helped families of women complete their education. Two of these sisters have earned their diploma at the Sophia Center and will soon celebrate the third sister’s graduation.

Admission is open to all women, 19 years and older, who have completed 8th grade and who are committed to earning a high school diploma. Our graduates include women from 19 to 59 years of age.

Admission Requirements

  • A completed application
  • An official transcript from the last school/high school attended
  • An official form of identification: driver’s license, state, or military I.D.
  • An assessment test in reading, math, and language skills (administered at the Sophia Women’s Learning Center)
  • A letter of recommendation from one of the following:
    - Current/recent employer, counselor
    - Pastor or Minister
    - Former teacher, principal, coach or counselor
  • A personal interview

Fees

Students are assessed an annual fee to cover program licensing and study materials. 

A graduation fee is assessed one month prior to graduation based on participation in graduation ceremony.
