Sisters of Divine Providence Renew Commitment to Providence Catholic School

On October 15, 2025, the Sisters of Divine Providence and the Providence Catholic School community gathered for a special Sponsorship Mass, reaffirming a sacred partnership rooted in faith, formation, and shared mission.

In her address, Sister Rose Kruppa, CDP Superior General, reflected on what sponsorship truly means for the Sisters:

“For the Sisters of Divine Providence, to sponsor Providence Catholic School is to support you with our name and our reputation, to support you through scholarships—but most of all, it means that we are always with you, always for you—accompanying you in becoming women of faith, women who love God, your neighbor, and yourselves.”

She described the Sisters’ stance toward students as steady and affectionate, like family, adding, “We will always be your greatest cheerleaders, loving you like your grandparents, always wanting goodness for you.”

Sister Rose reminded the community that Providence is more than a name. “Providence is God’s way of loving and caring for you. Providence is your way of loving and caring for each other. You are LIVING Providence every day in the company of men and women who guide you at school, your parents and relatives who make this education possible for you. You give witness to Providence in every activity you engage in. In this way, you are partnering with us, the Sisters, in bringing all things to good, in bringing hope and possibility to uncertain times and situations.”

The Mass included a signing of the Sponsorship Covenant, symbolizing the continued promise of accompaniment and prayer from the Sisters. The event concluded with a Litany of Providence, where students, faculty, and Sisters together proclaimed, “Providence is a gift from God.”

Through moments like this, the bond between the Congregation and Providence Catholic School continues to grow. In Providence, the Sisters walk alongside every student, guiding them to see the hand of God in all things and to become bearers of hope in the world.
