The Congregation has been blessed by a succession of strong leaders, who, in the spirit of the founder, Father John Martin Moye, have seen the creative hand of Providence in the evolving needs of the time and have courageously initiated programs to meet these new challenges.  

General Council

On February 4, 2023, the CDP Delegates of the 2023 – 2029 Chapter elected Sister Rose Kruppa, CDP to the office of Superior General. February 4, 2023 the CDP Delegates elected three General Councilors: Sisters Anita Brenek, CDP, Joyce Detzel, CDP and Elsa Garcia, CDP.

The General Council will lead the Congregation of Divine Providence until June 2029. All Sisters of Divine Providence are committed to their 2023 CDP Chapter Statement that calls them to “Being the presence of Providence, we listen with open hearts and minds, nurturing caring relationships with those we encounter; Collaborating with CDP Associates, sponsored ministries and diverse groups, we address the needs of migrants, the vulnerable, and Earth; Uniting with our neighbors wherever we live and minister, we support life-giving communities, giving special focus to those living on the West Side of San Antonio.”

Mexico Region Leadership

The Congregation has had professed Sisters in Mexico since 1962. In 1996, the Sisters formed an experimental Region of Mexico. By January 1999, they formally initiated the Region and held their first Regional chapter with elections of a Regional Council with a six-year term.

The CDP Mexico Region held its regional elections in August 2019 where Sisters Maria Estela Solis, Maria Guadalupe Valle and Cecilia González were elected.

The CDP Sisters of the Mexico Region are currently located in Querétaro, Morelia and Mexico City.
