2023 SHOE DRIVE — Huge Success!

The Spring-Up Shoe Drive, organized by the Associate CDPs and held from May 5th to June 5th, has concluded with resounding success. Over 100 pairs of shoes for men and women were delivered on June 8th to the grateful residents of Haven for Hope. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support and generosity of the Sisters, Associates, and friends of the Congregation, who donated and assisted in making this drive yet another triumph.

The Spring-Up Shoe Drive aimed to collect gently used and new shoes for individuals in need. The donated shoes ranged from stylish heels and sneakers to sturdy boots and sandals, catering to a diverse range of needs and preferences.

Haven for Hope is a local organization committed to transforming the lives of the homeless and providing them with comprehensive support. The shoes collected through this drive will play a crucial role in improving the well-being and self-esteem of those who find solace in Haven for Hope’s shelter and programs.

Ana Maria De La Portilla, Director of the Office of CDP Associates, extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the campaign. Their compassion and willingness to contribute made a significant impact and reaffirmed the power of community collaboration. She expressed her gratitude to the Sisters, Associates, and friends of the Congregation, as well as all the donors who supported the cause.

The success of the Spring-Up Shoe Drive is a testament to the spirit of giving that exists within this community. By coming together to address a common need, individuals demonstrated the profound impact collective action can have on improving the lives of others. The donated shoes will not only provide comfort and protection but also instill a sense of dignity and hope in those who receive them.

Together, we can build a community that cares for one another, one step at a time.
