Sister Rose Corrine Medica, CDP, entered eternal life on September 12, 2021 at the age of 92.  She was born January 6, 1929 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Nicholas Peter and Corrine (Spera) Medica.  She professed first vows on June 22, 1948.

Sister Rose Corrine taught throughout Louisiana for 28 years and in Texas for 12 years.  She served as the school principal of St. Cecilia School in Broussard, Louisiana (1964-1970.)  Beyond teaching she served as  personnel director for her Congregation, Director of Religious Education for St. Joseph Church in Iota, Louisiana and Coordinator of the Program for the Aging at Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Alexandria, Louisiana.

A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16; a prayer service follows, at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection and burial will take place on Friday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m.  All services will be held in Annunciation Chapel, at Our Lady of the Lake Convent.
