Celebrating the 22nd Annual Heritage Day

This year’s 22nd Annual Heritage Day event was a huge success! Hosted by the Sisters of Divine Providence (CDPs), Heritage Day was celebrated October 1-11, 2020. CDP Sisters were joined online by friends, family and supporters of the Congregation of Divine Providence as they raised critical funds for the upkeep of Moye Retreat Center and their original Motherhouse in Castroville, Texas.

Quilt Raffle tickets were sold online, and five quilt raffle winners were announced from Moye Retreat Center. The Quilt Raffle was live-streamed via Facebook on October 11, 2020 where Heritage Day supporters tuned in. Congratulations to the 22nd Annual Quilt Raffle winners:
Cheryl Schmitt of Castroville, TX (1st Place), Steavy M. Jakubik of Ennis, TX (2nd Place), Scott Mullen from New Braunfels, TX (3rd Place), Eddie Stecker from Castroville, TX (4th Place), Carmelite Monastery of LaFayette, LA (5th Place).

New this year, the first-ever Heritage Day Online Auction was a successful outcome for the CDPs. The auction included items such as antiques, holiday décor, furniture and crafts made by the Sisters of Divine Providence. Taking place October 1-11, 2020, the auction was a new and exciting way for the community to participate in Heritage Day and support the Sisters of Divine Providence.

The Sisters of Divine Providence express their gratitude to all who shared in their Heritage Day celebration.

If you did not get a chance to give during Heritage Day this year, it’s not too late! Click here to give to the Sisters of Divine Providence today.
