Fall Harbor of Hope Weekend Retreat

Date: November 18 to November 20, 2022

Time: The Zoom retreat begins on Friday at 7:30 PM-ET (6:30 PM CT/5:30 PM MT). It ends at 3:30 PM-ET on Sunday (2:30 PM CT/1:30 MT).

Description: Life can be complex.  Do you long for some rest, refreshment and good news during these difficult and confusing times?  PROSO Harbor of Hope Retreats provide gentle time away to find strength and safe harbor in the heart of Providence. Deepen your trust and let God’s peace, possibilities, and joy transform your heart and the world.

Conference themes, meetings and experiences focus on how hope and other spiritual anchors help us see life in a different way. Each one-hour session includes a presentation, plus a mix of prayer, music, and personal reflection and/or sharing. The retreat will be available in other formats throughout 2022-2023. Cost:  $100.

  • Friday evening: Entering the Harbor of Hope
  • Saturday morning: Anchored in Hope
  • Saturday afternoon: Mary, Model of Hope; Birthing and Holding Hope
  • Saturday evening: Resting Beside Peaceful Waters of Peace, Healing and Gratitude
  • Sunday afternoon: Back to the Sea – Hope for the Journey

Evening Sessions begin at 7:30 PM Eastern Time (6:30 PM Central Time)
Morning Sessions begin at 10:30 AM Eastern Time (9:30 AM Central Time)
Afternoon Sessions begin at 2:30 PM Eastern Time (1:30 PM Central Time)

Retreat Leader: Sister Joyce Detzel, CDP, a Sister of the Congregation of Divine Providence of San Antonio, Texas and director of PROSO Ministry, and other PROSO staff lead Harbor of Hope Retreats. She is a religious sister and grandmother with a creative passion for art, music, and spirituality. Sr. Joyce has a MA in Theology and a JD in Law from the University of Dayton, and is a certified Ignatian Spiritual Director with 40 years of experience as an educator, attorney, congregational vocation director, and campus/retreat minister.

“Weaving a Future of Hope” Roundtable Conversations

Date: October through December 2022

Time: Dates, times and contact information is listed below

Description: Come share seeds of life, faith and hope germinating in us during times of change and transition. Each roundtable conversation provides time to:

  • Meet and build new or stronger bonds.
  • Welcome the seeds of Providence emerging in our personal and consecrated lives.
  • Offer encouragement, new insights and creative possibilities.
  • Find friendship and solidarity in our call to make Providence (God’s love and care) visible in our daily lives, communities and service to others.

October 16, 2022 Spanish-Speaking CDP Sisters Roundtable Conversations. A two-hour Zoom gathering, co-hosted by Sr. Ana Lydia Sonera Matos, CDP (Puerto Rico) and Sr. Elsa Garcia, CDP, (Texas) begins on Sunday at 4:00 PM ET (Pittsburgh-Puerto Rico-Santo Domingo) /3:00 PM CT (San Antonio-México). October 29, 2022 CDP Sisters Roundtable Conversations.  A 90-minute collaborative Zoom conversation between Pittsburgh and the North, and CDPs from Texas, co-hosted by Sr. Lourdes Leal, CDP (Texas) and Sr. Judith Connor, CDP (Pittsburgh) begins on Saturday, October 29 at 10:30 AM ET (9:30 CT). Oct/Nov. 2022  CDP Associates Roundtable Conversations. Initial preparatory discussions begin this fall for CDP Associate groups from Texas and the Marie De La Roche Province. This one-hour Zoom conversation, co-hosted by PROSO Director, Sr. Joyce Detzel, CDP and the OLLU Center for Women in Church in Society, begins on Thursday at 3:00 PM CT.
