Sister Christina Chavez Shares Her Faith Journey as Featured Contributor in New Book

Sister Christina Chavez, CDP, is a featured contributor in the newly published book “Young Latino Catholics.” This book, edited by Hosffman Ospino and Timothy Matovina, contains personal stories from a diverse group of young Latina and Latino Catholics who share how they integrate their faith into their daily lives. The goal of this publication is to inspire other young adult Hispanic Catholics and to assist those in pastoral ministry who work with this group.

Sister Christina, ministers in the Diocese of San Angelo. She works in campus ministry at the UT Permian Basin campus in Odessa and the college campus in Midland. She shares her own personal story in the book. Her chapter highlights the various Providence stories that have shaped her life and faith journey. Sister Christina’s contribution to this book is a testament to her passion for sharing her faith journey and inspiring others to do the same. She is an example of a young Latina Catholic who is integrating her faith into her daily life and making a difference in her community through her ministry.
